For more than a century, Reger’s has helped churches, families, and communities live their faith. Our story begins in downtown Toledo and continues today in Maumee, guided by the same commitment to personal service.
In 1921, John A. Reger opened Reger’s Church Supplies and Religious Articles on Cherry Street in downtown Toledo. His vision was to serve churches and the Christian community with care, respect, and a personal touch.
Over the years, our storefronts and the people leading them have changed. Our purpose has remained: supporting the Church and helping families find meaningful ways to celebrate and share their faith.
In the years following World War II, Joseph Reger took ownership, family members joined the business, and a second location opened on Madison Avenue. The annual Reger’s catalog began during this period.
In 1967, the original store moved to Erie Street, becoming a familiar downtown destination. Three decades later, a move to Secor Road in West Toledo created room for a larger showroom, offices, shipping department, and warehouse.
In 2005, Joe Holmes purchased Reger’s and expanded church supply delivery routes, building relationships with parishes throughout the region.
Our centennial was a chance to celebrate the customers, churches, families, and team members who carried Reger’s through the years. Their trust and friendship made that milestone possible.
In 2024, Reger’s moved to Ford Street in Maumee. In 2025, Gavin and Ava Majikas became the next stewards of the business, carrying its mission forward with gratitude for the people who helped build it.
Today, our family-owned store serves churches, schools, ministries, and families through our showroom, church supply services, and online store. Whether you’re preparing for worship, searching for a meaningful gift, or celebrating a sacrament, our team is here to help.
We’re grateful to everyone who has been part of our story. We hope to serve you for generations to come.
