Important Note for Catholic Parishes

These hosts are not approved for use in the Catholic Mass or any Catholic sacramental rite. Catholic canon law (Canon 924) requires that valid matter for the Eucharist must be made from wheat and contain at least a trace amount of gluten. Because these wafers are gluten free and contain no wheat, they cannot undergo transubstantiation as defined by Catholic doctrine and are therefore invalid matter for consecration. Catholic churches requiring low-gluten hosts should seek options that are certified by the Congregation for Divine Worship, such as our Low Gluten hosts option by the same brand.
