Frequently Asked Questions
What translation does this New Testament use?
This edition uses the New American Bible (NAB) translation, the widely used Catholic translation that many Catholics recognize from the Mass readings and parish life in the United States.
How small is the vest pocket format?
The vest pocket format is designed to fit in a shirt pocket, jacket pocket, or small bag. It is one of the most compact New Testament editions available. Exact dimensions are not specified by the vendor; please contact Reger's if you need precise measurements before purchasing.
Does this include the Old Testament?
No. This is a New Testament edition only, containing the four Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, the Letters, and the Book of Revelation.
How does this differ from the St. Joseph NCB New Testament editions?
This edition uses the New American Bible (NAB) translation rather than the New Catholic Bible (NCB) translation, and it is formatted in a vest pocket size, making it smaller and more portable than standard compact editions. The NAB is the translation most familiar to Catholics in the United States from liturgical use.
Is this a good gift?
Yes. The vest pocket format makes it a practical and thoughtful gift for any Catholic adult, especially those who travel frequently or want a New Testament they can keep close throughout the day.
Who publishes this New Testament?
This edition is published by Catholic Book Publishing Corp (CBP), one of the most trusted names in Catholic publishing in North America, with decades of experience producing Bibles, prayer books, and devotional resources.
