A 30-Day Journey Into the Heart of Padre Pio's Prayer
Stay with Me, Lord: 30 Days with Padre Pio is the newest title in the Great Spiritual Teachers series from Ave Maria Press, authored by Susan De Bartoli. Drawing on the writings and spiritual counsel of Saint Padre Pio, this compact devotional guides readers through a month of daily prayer rooted in one of the most beloved saints of the twentieth century, whose life was marked by profound suffering and extraordinary union with Christ.
At the heart of this book is Padre Pio's own post-Communion prayer, "Stay with Me, Lord," a piercing plea born of his longing never to be separated from his Savior. Each day's reading includes a morning meditation drawn from Padre Pio's writings, a simple mantra to carry through the day, and an evening prayer to close the day in reflection. This accessible, easy-to-use format makes it a natural fit for busy people who want to pray more deeply without adding complexity to their daily rhythm.
