Pope Benedict XVI Private Homilies | The Lord Holds Us by the Hand

What did Pope Benedict XVI truly believe in his most intimate moments of prayer and reflection? The Lord Holds Us by the Hand: Unpublished Homilies, 2005–2017 offers an extraordinary window into the private spiritual life of one of the Church's greatest theological minds. Delivered behind closed doors in small chapels—never before published in English—these homilies reveal not the detached scholar the world knew, but a deeply personal, tender Christian whose faith was forged through decades of prayer, suffering, and love for Christ. Compiled with a foreword by Archbishop Gänswein, this collection weaves together exegesis, theology, catechesis, and spirituality into meditations that are at once profound and beautifully accessible.
