Hospital Pyx and Leather Burse for High-Capacity Communion Ministry
The Koley's Inc. K-209 Hospital Pyx and Leather Burse is purpose-built for hospital chaplains, parish priests, and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion who distribute the Eucharist to large numbers of patients or residents. At the heart of the set is a large gold-plated pyx measuring 4-3/4" in diameter with a 125-host capacity and a silver Last Supper relief medallion on the lid. The pyx is housed in a 6-1/8" x 5-3/4" x 2" black leather tri-fold burse with a rich red moire fabric interior, a secure snap clasp, a black cord for carrying or hanging, and fitted black leather pockets for the included 3-1/8" crucifix and two lace-edged finger cloths.
When opened, the burse unfolds in a cross shape, revealing all components organized in dedicated pockets and holders. The combination of a high-capacity pyx and a well-organized, dignified carrying case makes the K-209 an essential tool for any minister responsible for bringing Communion to hospital wards, nursing homes, or large homebound communities.
