A 24k Gold Plated Bishop's Oil Stock for the Anointing with Sacred Chrism
The 24k Gold Plated Bishop's Oil Stock by Koley's Inc. is a beautifully crafted liturgical instrument designed for a bishop's use in administering the holy oil of Sacred Chrism. Measuring 12" in overall length with a warm walnut wood handle, this oil stock features a shallow round container (2-3/4" outside diameter x 3/4" deep) with a threaded cover engraved "SC" for Sanctum Chrisma, the Latin designation for Sacred Chrism. The entire piece is 24k gold plated, giving it a luminous, ceremonial finish befitting its sacred purpose.
The oil stock is mounted on a round gold plated tray that catches any excess oil during use, and the walnut handle provides a comfortable, dignified grip for the bishop during the anointing rite. The threaded cover with its decorative finial keeps the oil secure between uses. This is a purpose-built instrument for episcopal liturgical ministry.
