Frequently Asked Questions
Question: How does the K-983 differ from the K-981 and K-982 chapel monstrances?
Answer: All three are compact 24k gold-plated chapel monstrances with a 2-3/4" fixed luna. The K-981 (6-3/4"H, 3" base) features an ornate decorative base with scrollwork and floral relief. The K-982 (7-1/4"H, 3" base) features a faceted crystal node on the stem. The K-983 (6-3/8"H, 3-1/4" base) has a clean, smooth design throughout with a flared bell-shaped base and no ornamental accents, making it the most understated of the three.
Question: What does "fixed luna" mean on this monstrance?
Answer: A fixed luna means the luna is permanently set into the monstrance frame at a standard 2-3/4" size. It cannot be swapped out, making the monstrance simple and ready to use with a standard 2-3/4" host.
Question: How small is this monstrance?
Answer: The K-983 stands 6-3/8" tall with a 3-1/4" base, making it one of the most compact chapel monstrances in the Koley's lineup and well suited for personal oratories, sacristy shelves, side altars, and travel use.
Question: Is this monstrance suitable for a full parish sanctuary?
